Millies Pets
The reliable hamster care website
About
I have created this website purely for the reason that I have seen a lot of leaflets, websites and even youtube channels giving others the wrong information about Syrian hamsters. On this website I will provide you with the correct information including; the right cages, the right toys, the right foods, how to tame and lots more.
My Hamsters (past and present)
Lily - Lily was my first ever hamster. She was such a sweet little thing, but sadly back then I knew very little about Syrian hamsters needs. After a year, poor Lily died due to stress from her cage being too small.
Rosie - Rosie was my second hamster. She was so cute and sweet. When I had Rosie, I found out more about Syrian hamsters and invested in buying the Imac Fantasy cage. It made such a difference!
Sadly, Rosie died as we used cotton/fluff bedding (which sould NOT be used ever!) and she swallowed it. Because of its fluffly density, the bedding caused her to have an internal blockage. Soon after she was put to sleep.
Fudge - Fudge is my third hamster. He is currently alive and well at almost one and a half years old!
Fudge caught mite a few months ago, so he has a few bald patches but using some treatment he is on the road to recovery and his fur is slowly but surely, growing back.
Pip - Pip used to be my best friends hamster, but sadly she had a bad habit of biting, so we offered to take her on. We bought the Alexander Hamster cage for her, and after a lot of taming, she doesn't bite anymore.
